I am back, my next entry has taken awhile but I gained a mind block and wasn't sure what to write even though so much has happened over the last three weeks I'm not sure were to start, but I thought I better get on with it as I have received two emails in the past week asking for my next blog!
I have decided to start my training in January (please note I am writing this sitting on the train at 9 in the morning with a chocolate bar in one hand, a packet of hula hoops and a bottle of lucozade in front of me!). I stopped my gym membership for two months, as I felt I had to join in on the credit crunch panic even though it has only effected me in the best way any female could hope for....cheap shopping. Can you believe I bought a pair of fake Ugg boots for £4.89 this week, I will never have to feel that feeling of guilt when buying a £100 t-shirt - yes I have done it. I come out complaining yet I handed over that little piece of plastic and it defiantly was not at gun point!
London drinking and social life has been adding to my hips, I have gone up a dress size! I hope this traning (not sure what 'this training' consists of yet) will help me say goodbye to Mr Kipling. But to be honest I am not quite sure I will ever achieve it. I was at victoria station this week with a camera the size of a 6 month year old baby attached to my back and I thought about walking up the escalator but my body just didn't allow it. My no lifts and escalator rule has certainly gone out the window. I think I have a selected memory (my mother would agree with this) I get to the top and then think 'oh I forgot again I was meant to be walking!) I looked over the itinerary last week and saw there was up to 9 hours of walking a day so I have decided to add duct tape to my kit list, this will stop me moaning and boring the others to tears.
So fundraising so far.....the Business Support Director at work has kindly said I can put on a Christmas raffle at our work Christmas party - which is brilliant and will mean I can add even more money to my ever increasing pot for Demelza. I have already got some fantastic prizes - including harlequin tickets! Even though I will have the classic cuddly toy prize (every raffle has to have one of these) I also want to get some amazing prizes with the hope people will buy loads of tickets! My ever raising pot on Justgiving is also now up to £1150 - this is 32% of my target - not bad for 3 weeks of work!
I defiantly feel charity is slowly taking over my life, I had two brownie meetings in one night last week, I have suddenly gained an massive admiration for people who do so much for others - I never realised it would be so tiring and stressful!
